The Economic Naturalist: In Search of Explanations for Everyday Enigmas by Robert Frank
An interesting book, which doesn't really cover much of the theory of the dismal science itself, but addresses the intersection between the real world and theory. You'll get more out of it, and have a deeper understanding of the concepts that you know if you already have some grounding in economics before you start reading. That said, the explanation of the basic concept of 'opportunity cost' was valuable, and apparently, lacking elsewhere.
