"Going John Galt"

"Is it time to go John Galt? Do you ever wonder after dealing with all that is going on with the economy and the upcoming election if it’s getting to be time to “go John Galt”? For those of you who have never read Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, the basic theme is that John Galt and his allies take actions that include withdrawing their talents, “stopping the motor of the world,” and leading the “strikers” (those who refuse to be exploited) against the “looters” (the exploiters, backed by the government)."

I don't think the 'looters' have really thought things through. Do they really think that they can just keep taking from productive people forever? (Of course, their scheme has worked for this long so maybe they do have a reasonable expectation that the status quo will continue indefinitely.) But I'm seeing that the friction in the system is increasing exponentially, and things are heating up rapidly. As more producers drop out, it increases the load on the remainder, and they burn out faster. So what happens to the looters when no one wants to be the productive chump anymore? It seems that we'll find out sooner rather than later!
